Santosh Charitable Trust is an organization that aims to provide destitute and orphaned children with an opportunity to realize their fundamental right to a better life. The Charity aims to provide the children with an environment where they are nurtured and educated, equipping them for the future. Santosh Children's Home houses between twenty and thirty children aged between 4 and 15 years from various backgrounds.

Santosh Charitable Trust operates entirely on donations from philanthropic individuals, and well wishers.

The Charity is registered with the Karnataka State Government with Reg. No. 138/7-08, and all donations are tax exempt under section 80G (certificate).

Child Care

The children who are looked after by Santosh Chartiable Trust come from varied backgrounds, including orphans, semi-orphans, or poor parents. Contact between the parents and children is not completely broken. In some cases the children visit their parents for holidays.

Santosh Charitable Home tries to enroll as many children as possible in an English medium school, Sapthagiri Vidya Mandir, in order for prepare them for the future.

We have a strict non-discrimination policy. We love all children, regardless of their religion, where they are from, race, colour, disability, or age.

Dichu, who is in the nighth standard, aspires to be an Engineer. His mother passed away when he was young and his father could not take care of them with his annual income of Rs. 8000.

Facilities

Santosh Children's Home functions out of home constructed by the trust. These premises consist of a kitchen, an office room, and rooms for children. As you can see in the slideshow below, the living standard is very basic. There is an open area around the building where the children play. A small van has been recently purchased, thanks to donations, to enable the smaller children to travel safely to and from school.

Support Us

Please help us ensure a steady cash flow during the year. You can sponsor a child Rs. 4-5000/month.

During March every year we raise funds for the annual school fees of the students, which comes to around Rs 9L.

The charitable home functions on shoestring budget.

We are lucky to have supporters in companies like Intuit, National Instruments, Fiberlink, Induz, and Google. Many generous donors from Bellandur area like Sobha Jasmine, Quartz, and Adarsh Palm Retreat also help us.

How to Donate

You could donate money to "Santosh Charitable Trust". Cheques/Demand Drafts/Money Orders must be in favour of "Santosh Chariable Trust". Cash donations are also accepted. Donations are tax exempt under Section 80G. 100% of the donations are spent on the children. Please contact us for payment options, like direct deposit.
